And sew it begins…

Rocking dolls on a treadle sewing machine and being taught to sew, knit and crochet by family members. I studied textiles and dabbled in dyeing, printing and embroidery. Through cross stitch and beading onto porcelain doll making and about 25 years ago I fell down the patchwork and quilting rabbit hole. Alongside this has been my love of dolls’ houses. So I made big quilts and tiny quilts, knitted big jumpers for me and some tiny jumpers for the house.

I’ve worked in the retail craft and textile industry and belong to several local craft groups. Now I get to fulfil a life long dream…….to have my own business supplying you with beautiful fabrics and interesting threads and embellishments. Patterns, ideas, tools and all the help and advice you may need.

I have stock from companies you know and love but also embrace new designers and ideas. Some items will be vintage and one offs. Some will be pre-loved bargains. I’ve bought and repurposed many a man’s shirt from a charity shop. Stock will be clearly photographed and described on our website so you won’t lose out if you’re not local.
